The new "Billing Specialist" / CPQ Superbadge

All of this CPQ is making me sleepy.... 

What I learned about CPQ after doing the Superbadge pre-requisites....

Can you read that?  Neither can I!

As a newcomer to CPQ, I foolishly believed that a quick run over the prerequsite trails would be adequate to complete this new superbadge.  hahahaha Nope! I am going back to the basics... it's time to learn about CPQ!  Don't worry- superbadge tips and tricks are coming soon...as soon as I figure out how to set up consumption schedules.  
 Here's the plan:

  2. Module - Salesforce Billing Basics
  3. Superbadge
  4. Migration 
Yes, Step 4 is to do a trial migration from my Superbadge CPQ org into a new org.  Why? 
People keep asking my mom if Capstorm migrates CPQ data.  It's been done, but mom has not had a chance to give the project a try herself.  So, I am going give it a go!

Trailhead Baby is a Platform App Builder and you can be one too!

The weather has been too nice to be inside, so Trailhead Baby has been out and about - biking, swimming, fishing, and a little bit of boating.  Mom went a little crazy with the sunscreen (see photo), but she did let me drive the boat.  My hope is to use this experience to convince her that I should be allowed to borrow our mini-van.  If you are reading this mom - I promise to be very careful! In between my biking, swimming, fishing, and boating adventures, one of my summer goals is to pick up a few more Salesforce certs.  Trailhead Baby is already proud to be the youngest....  This month's goal was to add the Platform App Builder cert. Billing Specialist Superbadge - 6, 7, 8 , 9 , 10

I woke up before dawn this morning to help Mom sort out out the pom-poms.  I do not understand why Mom keeps all of these tiny balls in a plastic bag when they should be appropriately sorted by size and color.  It bothered me so much last night, that I had to get up early and fix this mess.  Since I am up, let's get back to the Billing Specialist Superbadge with some tips for steps 7, 8, and 10. Step 7 requires a bunch of little steps in order to pass!  Fortunately, the instructions for this step are clear but require a very careful reading.... Are you looking for a few hints? There are two, let's call them, "high level" checkboxes to tick. A global picklist set is always better when you want to use the values more than once. The process builder part is one field update.  If your process is more complex, research why there is a checkbox on quote to indicate that the quote has been ordered.  The instructions are not very clear, so I will break from Trailhead...
